Weekend of September 27, 2025

Welcome to Our Wedding Website!

We’re so glad you’re here.

Instead of a traditional wedding, we’re celebrating the start of our next chapter by spending meaningful time with the people who’ve helped shape our lives. What better way to do that than by inviting you to join us for a full weekend getaway at a beautiful resort in Northern Minnesota?

Be sure to read through the website carefully for all the details about the wedding weekend. Then when you’re ready, go to the RSVP section and let us know your plans.

We can’t wait to celebrate with you!

Schedule

  • Early Arrival

We would love for you to join us for an extra night at the resort! Time with our people is what is important, so we are providing an opportunity to have more time at the resort together.

The official wedding weekend will be from 5:30 pm on Friday through noon on Sunday. During this time, we will cover costs of lodging and provide all meals. If you come up on Thursday, you will need to bring your own meals (there is a well equipped kitchen in each cabin) and we ask for you to cover the cost of your Thursday night stay ($150 per couple).

On arrival, look for our wedding information station at the resort entrance. This will have resort maps, cabin assignments, and schedules available.

Are Children Allowed?

Absolutely! The focus of this weekend is family time together.

Are Pets Allowed?

Pets are not allowed at Island View Resort. We got special permission to bring our dog, Oakley, as we would like her to be part of our ceremony. Unfortunately, all other pets will need to stay home.

Is There Phone Coverage Or WiFi?

We had 4G Verizon service when we visited Island View Resort. We were able to make phone calls and text, but data is definitely slow.

Wifi is available in the Resort Lodge only.

What If It’s Raining or Snowing?

Late September in northern Minnesota? We know… The weather could be ANYTHING!

There will be a large walled tent, your cabin, and the lodge to hang out in. But please do dress for the weather as we plan to be outside as much as possible.
